The London Museum of Water & Steam is located in Brentford, West London next to Kew Bridge. In 1820 the Grand Junction Water Works Company (GJWWC) launched a new pumping station at Chelsea taking water from the Thames. Within 10 years concern about the poor quality of the water, mainly pollution with sewage, convinced the company to move its operations to a new site by Kew Bridge. The Kew Bridge Water Works company started supplying water in 1838 until ceasing operations in 1944. During this time, workers died whilst operating the giant steam water pumps and over the years staff have reported seeing full bodied apparitions, hearing footsteps, voices, and experiencing sudden changes in temperature. Recently door alarms have been inexplicably set off, lights mysteriously turning themselves on, and a well dressed gentlemen has been seen standing in one of the rooms on more than one occasion.
This location has never been investigated by the public, and GPS have previously carried out one preliminary paranormal investigation which yielded some very interesting results.
Are you brave enough to join us as we further delve into this spooky historical landmark in search of the spirits that still roam the building and its grounds?
