The Hell-Fire Caves - Ghosts
The Hell-Fire Caves in West Wycombe is one of the most paranormally active locations in the world. The GPS team have had the privilege to work with the Caves for several years now.
Some of the ghosts that are reported to haunt the caves are apparently members of the notorious Hell-Fire Club, but the most frequently seen is that of a woman named Suki. Legend has it that she went to meet her lover dressed in a white wedding gown, but it was a practical joke and she was met by a gang of youths, who stoned her to death. Strange noises, feelings, lights and other phenomena have also been seen and heard by staff, and the public.
Look behind the two men in the photograph! Thank you Adam Ward for sendng this to us.
GPS have captured dozens of EVP's in these caves, further adding to the evidence that this location is indeed one of the most haunted places in the world. The Hell-Fire Caves has been featured in dozens of televison programmes internationally, and GPS have appeared in many of them as paranormal experts.
Hell-Fire Caves EVP's
There have been several well known paranormal investigations at the Caves, by TV investigation teams and para-scientists. They have all found some evidence of paranormal activity down in various parts of the cave system. GPS have featured in several well known programmes at the caves in recent years including Ghost Adventures, and more recently My Ghost Story on BIO.
Paul Whitehead, a member of the original Hell-Fire Club, wanted his heart interred into the caves after his death. This was done, but an Australian solider who visited the caves stole the heart and the urn. Paul's spirit is said to haunt the caves as he looks for his heart.
There have been reports by staff and visitors of other spirits like that of a little boy, young girl, a hooded monk and some darker entities that have been felt or seen. Numerous stories from staff being told to shush when walking through the caves or when closing up in the evening have also been reported.
GPS are no strangers to this intriguing location, and have investigated the caves on dozens of occasions. Each time has yielded very interesting paranormal evidence.
